TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Arthur Schuster, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date20 November 1905
DescriptionEncloses a letter just received from the Treasury on which he would be glad to have Schuster's observations. His own feeling is that they ought to waive the condition about France joining [the International Seismic organisation]. As regards financial arrangements, asks if Schuster can furnish any information that would help to put the matter clearly before the Treasury. Asks if they should have another meeting of the [Seismology] Committee in view of the Treasury letter and the probable refusal of France to join.
