TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Bateson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date13 December 1905
DescriptionHarrison sends the proof of Dr Hurat's paper. In response to Bateson's note, Harrison explains that under Statute no paper on the previous Thursday's list may be withdrawn as they have been read to the Society, and so must be preserved in their archives, but that publication may be suspended indefinitely, which is how he interprets the request that the paper be withdrawn.

He notes that written on a reference received by Dr Joseph Larmor are the words "Bateson and Hurst withdrawn" but he did not mention withdrawing his own paper, so Harrison asks for clarification about whether the suspension requested should also be applied to Bateson's paper.
