DescriptionGeikie explains that the Council of the Royal Society considered a letter the previous week from the Registrar of the University of Liverpool asking for a Royal Society representative to be appointed to the University's Court for the next three years. They have ascertained that Lister is eligible for re-appointment to the post, and so asks if he is willing to accept the Council's invitation for him to continue as the Society's representative.
