| Description | Harrison apologises for the delay in responding to Hales' letter. The procedure for recording of Council Minutes has now been fixed, after years of inconsistency resulted in occasional difficulties.
He explains that he attends the Council meetings, takes the Minutes, drafts them afterwards and has them set up in type for verification by the Honorary Secretaries and Treasurer. They are then printed and circulated prior to the next meeting, and pending approval by Council, are signed by the President as correct. Harrison does not know if Hales' seeks an opinion on the matter, but states the undesirability of the Minutes being taken by anyone taking an active part in the debates. He further notes that case where the Chairman takes the notes, they are the ultimate authority. |
