TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date16 March 1906
DescriptionHarrison responds to Lankester's question, handed to him in Council, to say that Archdall Reid's paper was assigned to the Zoology Sectional Committee, but it has not been rejected. The Referees reports by two Fellows were both unfavourable to publication. Meanwhile Reid asked, through Lankester, to make some additions to the paper, and so the Chairman recommended that it be returned to the author with a view to allowing him to make changes and re-submit it as a new paper. A letter to this effect was sent by Sir Archibald Geikie, with the paper, to Lankester on 27 October 1905, and they now await the submission of the modified paper.
