TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], President of the Royal Society
Date24 March 1906
DescriptionHarrison asks for a short abstract of Strutt's paper on Earth stability for use at the meeting, noting that the paper would make 14 pages of print which is excessive for the purposes of the meeting room. If he lacks the time to write a abstract or feels it is important for the full paper to be referred to, they will print full proofs. He notes the change in form of Proceedings of the Royal Society has resulted in longer papers, so it has become usual to ask for meeting room abstracts.
