DescriptionThe paper by Reverend Ernest William Barnes, 'On the asymptotic expansion of integral functions defined by Taylor's series', communicated by Andrew Russell Forsyth, was recommended by the Mathematics Sectional Committee for publication in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, pending a reduction in length to 40 pages. The manuscript has been returned by the author, reduced in length to 45 pages, and Professor Joseph Larmor has passed the revised manuscript for publication. Harrison asks if Burnside concurs with this view, and if they may proceed with printing of the paper.
