| Description | Harrison reports that at the last meeting of the Physiology Sectional Committee, they decided not to recommend for publication a paper entitled 'The chemical constitution of Protoplasm as shown by the rate of tissue disintegration' by Dr H M Vernon, communicated by Professor Francis Gotch, but instead recommended that an abstract be published in Proceedings of the Royal Society. Vernon has since written to request that, since he hopes to have the whole paper published elsewhere, he hopes that the Society will not insist on the publication of an abstract which might diminish the appeal of the paper.
A copy of the abstract is enclosed, and Harrison asks that Martin minute his opinion on the matter. |
