TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Walter Frank Raphael Weldon, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Zoology Sectional Committee
Date20 December 1905
DescriptionHarrison reports that Adam Sedgwick, the first referee for Dr Raymond Pearl's paper 'A biometrical study in conjugation in Paramaecium', has concluded that he cannot report upon it as although he has sufficient knowledge of its biological aspects, he is not conversant with the statistical reasoning on which its results depend. He asks that Weldon nominate an alternative referee. The manuscript has already been sent to the second referee, Francis Galton.
