TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to W M Meredith, Savile Club, 107 Piccadilly, W.
Date11 May 1906
DescriptionHarrison explains that Meredith has been misinformed that his name has been permanently placed on the list of invitations to the Royal Society's Soirée. Both of the Society's two annual Soirées has a separate printed list of invitations, which is revised annually by a committee. Meredith's name appears on the list for the June Soirée, but not for the May Soirée, though it is possible he was invited to the latter event in previous years on personal recommendation of a member of the Soirée Committee. This explains why he has not received an invitation for that week's Soirée.

Harrison sends an invitation to the Soirée on 20 June.
