I have the honour to enclose herewith a card of invitation to the forthcoming Soirée of the Royal Society, and I shall be much obliged if you will place the card before Her Royal Highness, Princess Beatrice, Princess Henry of Battenberg, and express on behalf of myself and the Fellows of the Society generally, the great gratification it would give us if Her Royal Highness would honour us with her presence on this occasion.
