TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Edwin Ray Lankester, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date7 July 1906
DescriptionThe Council of the Royal Society, after deciding that the scientific results of the Antarctic Expedition should be issued in quarto form, asked Geikie to take general charge so as to ensure uniformity. Understands the volumes descriptive of the Natural History have been undertaken by the trustees of the British Museum. The portions dealing with magnetism, meteorology, seismology, et cetera are also in progress. Asks to know the titles of the volumes and the order in which they are intended to follow each other, for any prospectus which they may issue of the forthcoming work.
