Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Sidney Harris Cox Martin, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Physiology Sectional Committee |
Date | 23 July 1906 |
Description | Since passing Dr Lazarus-Barlow's paper 'On the Electrical and Photographic Phenomena manifested by certain substances that are commonly supposed to be Aertiologically associated with Carcinoma', for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' it has been brought to the attention of the Secretaries that a paper of the same title and almost the same content has been published by Barlow in the 'Archives of Middlesex Hospital', volume VII. It is an invariable rule of the Society not to print any communication that has been previously published elsewhere and the Treasurer very strongly objects to sanctioning the expenditure involved in printing Dr Barlow's paper in the 'Proceedings'. Asks for the Chairman's opinion. A letter from Barlow and the paper from the 'Archives' are enclosed for information [not enclosed]. |
