TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Edwin ray Lankester, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date26 July 1906
DescriptionRegarding the reports of the Antarctic Expedition the Society's only desire is to secure uniformity and continuity so that the whole series shall not appear as many separate publications but one connected series of reports. Discusses how uniformity can be achieved.

As Lieutenant Gray is no longer to return to Entebbe following his leave. The first piece of work Gray did for the Society after his arrival here was to condense and put into shape the voluminous report by Tulloch and himself. Geikie is going over this manuscript before sending it to the Colonial Office for the next volume of the Sleeping Sickness reports. The Colonial Office currently has on hand the paper by Dr Mott. Gray was understood to have still some conjoint work with Minchin and Geikie wrote asking when this would be completed and when they might expect a report. Encloses a copy of the reply [not enclosed]. Is writing by this post to Gray. Bruce does not think the Tropical Diseases Committee need continue to employ Gray after his African results are handed over and Gray can then recommence his place in the Army Medical Department.
