TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Charles Scott Sherrington, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 August 1906
DescriptionHas received Sherrington's letter communicating another paper by Mr C E Walker which has also come. Under ordinary circumstances the Secretaries during the vacation would pass the paper and report to the Committee of Papers at the beginning of the next session. But the President and Officers have had cause to complain of the charges made by Mr Walker against the staff of the Royal Society office. Though Walker's attention has been called to the matter he has never withdrawn or apologised for his language. Under these circumstances Harrison does not think the Secretaries can take on themselves the responsibility of passing the paper Sherrington has communicated, without bringing the matter before the Committee of Papers.
