TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr Edward Adian Wilson
Date17 August 1906
DescriptionHas received Geikie's 13 August. With regard to the choice of paper for the half tone blocks which Oliver and Boyd are preparing, he would like to see samples of the best kinds with impressions of the blocks on them, and they can then definitely choose one of them. Thinks they must leave the decision of the panoramic plates to Haslemere. With regards to the map he has letters from Captain Scott and Lieutenant Mulock. There seems to be no hurry to decide on the map but it seems quite obvious that the large chart in five sheets is much too big to go into the volumes of the report. There is a smaller map which can probably serve their purpose. Notes the necessity regarding the large map of inserting in a copy of the chart the positions from which the topographical photographs and Wilson's coast-sketches were taken. Wilson will get a copy of the chart for the purpose of placing this information on it and this copy will be carefully preserved for future reference.
