Description | Has received a postcard from Herbert Carter of Croydon, requesting Harrison send Tarrant particulars of the appointment of Harrison's predecessor and late friend Mr Herbert Rix. Rix entered the Society in 1879 as Clerk during the assistant secretaryship of Walter White, whom he succeeded six years later. Rix retired due to ill health in 1896. Would be glad of a copy of the paper in which he understands Tarrant is writing an obituary notice, when it appears. |
