TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to William Edward Wilson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date26 June 1906
DescriptionHas talked to the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] about Wilson's kind offer of designating[?] his valuable reflective telescope for the Royal Society. The point that comes to both Larmor and the Treasurer is that the Society could only arrange to place the telescope on permanent loan at some observatory: and once it was there established they could hardly ask to have it [?] again without strong cause.

Is sure Council will be much gratified to hear of his offer. There is a meeting on 4 July and if on consideration Wilson has anything further to add, he might write before that time.
