TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to J Galbraith, Librarian, Glasgow University
Date12 November 1906
DescriptionIn reply to Galbraith's letter of 9 November, there will be no difficulty in his retaining the Society's portrait of George Buchanan until the close of their exhibition. Does not suppose there will be any objection to Galbraith having the portrait photographed for publication but thinks Council would like to know the character of the publication in which the image would appear. Supposes Galbraith knows that Mr Carruthers has some doubt as to the authenticity of the Buchanan portrait and Harrison has just seen a copy of the 'Scottish Review' for 25 October containing an illustrated article by Carruthers on the subject.
