TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Francis Darwin, Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society
Date1 February 1907
DescriptionHe will be aware of the arrangements made for Sir Michael Foster's funeral. The chief informant has been Dr Bradford, and it is understood that the funeral at Huntingdon will be attended by family and personal friends only. He obviously knows about the memorial service at Cambridge. The memorial service at the local parish church has been arranged in deference to strong feeling expressed by a number of the Fellows who were present at the meeting yesterday, and the President will be attending. The Treasurer will be present at the Cambridge service. If Darwin is also attending, Harrison asks him to note the name of other members of Council who are there representing the Royal Society, and also if any members of the press are there. Fears that Larmor will not be able to attend any services.
