DescriptionThe Royal Society, as long ago as last July, has signalled its concurrence in the immediate admission of the Imperial Academy of Science of Tokyo to the International Association of Academies.

Harrison would be very happy to meet Gollancz regarding the forthcoming General Assembly of the Association, but in the meantime he should know that the Royal Society has appointed a special Committee to formulate the action of the Society at the Assembly, and out of this Committee it is likely delegates will be chosen. It might be convenient before the Academy meets for Gollancz or some Committee of his academy, to confer with the Royal Society Committee over whether any joint action might be desirable.

The conduct of the business of the Academy is entirely in the hands of the directing Academy, the Imperial Academy of Vienna, and it is down to them to provide reports of the meetings. Whether it will be in English is uncertain. Presumes there will be an English secretary of each section, and it would seem desirable that among delegates who go over, that one should take on this role, which is not a light one.
