TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Abbott Herdman, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 February 1907
DescriptionThe printers report a difficulty in connection with the charge for the plates in his private copies of certain sections of the Ceylon volumes just issued. Harrison thinks there must be some misunderstanding, as they were instructed to charge authors 5/- for every 50 copies of each plate supplied with separate in excess of the gratuitous number. They therefore charged Herdman for 15 times 5/-. Herdman says he already paid Wilson for these plates, and no doubt the printers were unaware, yet Wilson's plates only make four of out the 15. So the printers are right to charge for the rest.
