TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to the Secretary, The Admiralty
Date26 February 1907
DescriptionThe Royal Society have considered a proposal by Dr G Herbert Fowler for a physical and biological investigation of the upper waters of the North-east pacific ocean. President and Council are of the opinion that this is of high scientific importance, and that Dr Fowler is experienced to carry it out. The scheme contemplates carrying out work on board the warship of the Royal Navy, which annually crosses the ocean from Vancouver to the Pribyloff Islands. It is desired the vessel start a couple of weeks earlier than usual, and halt at intervals. Hopes this is favourable.
