Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor, to St John's College, Cambridge |
Date | 28 February 1907 |
Description | The Joint Eclipse Committee sent the Royal Society three papers together. One has since been withdrawn by the author to avoid abbreviation, a second it to cut down, and the third is theirs. Major Hills should have said 'with a view to publication', which was what he meant. Larmor does not like to be a party to asking the referee to do any more. He complained of the task before he took it. The manuscript is with the second referee, who strongly backed his colleague's suggestions. The paper will come up for reading on 14 March, 18 April or 25 April. It will go for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. |
