TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor [Walter Noel] Hartley, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date4 March 1907
DescriptionHartley's paper on 'Spectra' was dealt with by the Physics Committee. Sending on extracts of the decision which that Committee recommended to Council, so that he may be aware of them, so he can decide whether he agrees before the meeting. The alternatives might be either the withdrawal of the paper, if it has not formally been 'read', or reference back, if the Council agrees, which is a course rarely adopted.
