TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Arthur Schuster, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 March 1907
DescriptionThe Royal Irish Academy has written making a claim to be a part of the International Association of Academies. If this claim is justified, so is that of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Should be glad to know Schuster's views on the matter. It seems to Geikie that Scotland and Ireland are entitled to representation, as the German absorbed kingdoms are principalities are. Would certainly be glad if the over balance of German representation could be counter balanced in some legitimate way.
