TitleCopy letter from Francis Darwin, to The President, The Imperial Academy of Sciences, Vienna
Date15 March 1907
DescriptionRegarding two propositions which have been submitted for inclusion in the Agenda of the General Assembly of the International Association of Academies at Vienna, the Royal Society has passed a resolution in favour of an auxiliary language being placed on the Agenda, and defer to the Academy if they are in favour of the question being addressed at the meeting. Regarding the proposition put forward by the Royal Academy of Sciences at Madrid for the nomination of a special Commission to examine the system proposed by M Torres Y Quevedo for a symbolic notation to facilitate the description of machines, Council agrees to this being placed on the Agenda, so long as the Imperial Academy also agrees.
