TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to The Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office
Date21 March 1907
DescriptionThe Royal Society has been informed that the Stationery Office has limited the edition of Part VIII of the Sleeping Sickness Report to 750 copies, less than half of the usual amount. There has been great interest in these reports around the world, and to fulfil the collections of those already in possession of earlier volumes, the Royal Society needs 700 copies alone. It would be necessary if the Under Secretary could authorise a further publication of no less than 500, making 1250 in all, and to send 500 immediately to the Royal Society for present needs.
