Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Sidney Martin, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Physiology Sectional Committee |
Date | 7 May 1907 |
Description | Harrison communicates that [Florence] Buchanan has, through Dr Waller, enquired about the reading of her paper, 'On the time taken in passing the Synapse in the Spinal Cord of the Frog. Part I: The cord delay in the reflex of the same side and of the crossed side in the normal and in the snychronised preparation', as communicated by Professor Charles Sherrington.
He reports that it is a long paper for Proceedings of the Royal Society, being around 60 printed pages in length and with two plates, and consequently one of the two referees, Dr Head, has recommended it, after some editing, for Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society instead, particularly given the important technical details that should included if the paper were to be published. Harrison asks whether, given the view of one referee, he will accept the paper for reading, or if he would prefer to wait for the second referee's report. |
