Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Sidney Martin, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 27 May 1907 |
Description | Harrison reminds Martin of a paper be passed for publication by Dr [Samuel George] Shattock, subject to his confining the illustrations to one plate. The author consented, but the estimates he obtained were, in the view of the Secretaries, too high for a Proceedings of the Royal Society plate, except in exceptional circumstances.
He has corresponded with Shattock about whether a less expensively reproduced plate, with fewer colours, would be sufficient to illustrate the paper, and encloses Shattock's reply so that Martin may provide guidance on how to proceed; namely, whether another estimate for a plate with a simpler scheme of colour should be sought, or whether a black and white reproduction would be enough. |
