Description | Larmor has noticed in Arthur Schuster's preliminary report on the proceedings of the International Association of Academies, that there is a reference to the Royal Society not having submitted a report on the progress of the International Catalogue. They were unaware such information was expected, and while they would have sent all they could if they had known, the information would be unofficial as the catalogue is under the direction of an International Committee, although the executive is based with them in London.
A previous progress report when the Association of Academies met in London and the catalogue was in its early stages was logical. Although he blames himself for the omission, Larmor believes not having sent the information to Vienna is less significant as the report of the International Council is almost ready and will soon be distributed to the various countries concerned. |
