TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Rev J Barker, St Barnabas, Grimsby
Date11 July 1907
DescriptionHarrison explains that, separate to the annual election of fifteen ordinary candidates for Fellowship of the Royal Society, the Council has the power, every two years, to recommend up to two individuals they believe have rendered special service to the cause of science or whose election would particularly benefit the Society. If Barker believes himself to qualify under either category, he is advised to find a member of Council who will submit his name.

He does not understanding Barker's comparison of Fellowship of the Royal Society with membership of the F.B.A. as he is unaware of any organisation represented by those initials. The £60 composition fee is noted to cover all annual contributions from the date of election to the Society.
