TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Sydney John Hickson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date16 July 1907
DescriptionHarrison summarises the views of the two referees, Professor Symington and Professor Haddon, for 'On the cranial and facial characters of the Neandertal Race' by Professor William Johnson Sollas, both of whom are favourable to publication, in full, in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. Symington notes that Klaatoch is mentioned, and so should be referenced in the paper. Symington also advises that the majority of illustrations could be reduced in size and included in the main text. There were two photographs of Gibraltar skulls enclosed, but unnumbered, and Harrison explains that these were received from Sollas after the paper, with a note suggesting the referees may wish to see them and perhaps include them in the published paper.

He asks if Hickson will authorise publication under Standing Order 43, and if so, whether the photographs of the Gibraltar skulls are to be included.
