TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Sydney John Hickson, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Zoology Sectional Committee
Date22 July 1907
DescriptionHarrison communciates that both referees, R Lydekker and Dr Gadow, have reported in favour of publication in full in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of 'On the Skull, Mandible, and Milk Dentition of Palaeomastodon, with Some Remarks on the Tooth Change in the Elephantidae in General' by Dr C W Andrews.

The illustrations amount to two plates and two text figures, but these are only roughly indicated. The actual drawings would be made from British Museum specimens, and the Royal Society would be expected to pay for drawing and printing of these, estimated at seven pounds, 10 shillings per plate. Dr Gadow has also suggested minor text alterations for clarity, listed here, and that measurements be given in metres or millimeters.

Hicks is asked to give his opinion regarding whether to proceed with the paper under Standing Order 43.
