| Description | Includes recommendations in response to Colonial Office letter and list of desirable researches. In a note to the Tropical Disease Committee members it is stated that the sub-committee were informed that the situation of the new laboratory was not suitable for some of the proposed researches as it now lies outside the area of occurrence of Sleeping Sickness.
Annotated that Hodges attended the sub-committee and said in confidence that the laboratory was 'absolutely useless' in its present position. The sub-committee drew up the [research] scheme and are leaving it to the Commissioner of Uganda, who was responsible for the removal of the laboratory, to find out that owing to his action the scheme is not workable. |
