| Description | The reports of both referees, Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] and Professor Gray, on the paper by Messrs Ayrton, Mather and Smith on 'A new Current Weigher and a Determination of the E.M.F. of the Normal Weston Cadmium Cell', are both favorable to publication in full in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. The authors are anxious that the printing of the paper should be put in hand as soon as possible in view of the Electrical Units Conference in the autumn so Larmor has been through the manuscripts in preparation for the press, and proposes the publication should proceed at once. Asks if the Chairman agrees to this under Standing Order 43. Provides rough estimates of the cost of publication of the paper. |
