TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Alexander Pedler, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 October 1907
DescriptionHarrison regrets that Pedler's letter was not answered during his absence on a long holiday. He has roughly calculated the amount expended on postage of the Royal Society's publication, exclusive of parcel postage on volumes of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society and other extra publications which would fall outside of the proposed reform, as £226 per annum. He calculates the saving to be effected by the proposed reform as at least £170 per year, which is noted as a significant amount given the Society's limited resources, as indicated on page 183 of the Year Book.
