| Description | In reply to Mr Antrobus' letter of 19 July (24568/1907). the Royal Society is of opinion that scientific investigations may now be resumed at the Laboratory at Entebbe. The subject is under the consideration of a Committee whose decision shall readily be communicated to Elgin. Since work at Entebbe was arrested by the illness and death of Lieutenant Tullock, the Society has been engaged in carrying on a series of experiments in England, with a view to discovering a drug for dealing with trypanosomiasis. Recent results encourage hope that, at least in regard to the diseases of Nagana and Surra, a successful mode of treatment has been found. |
