TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs Newton & Company
Date8 October 1907
DescriptionSince Harrison last wote, he has discovered a letter from Messrs Newton of 21 June and an unpaid account for the overhaul and partial repair of the lantern microscope for two pounds, seven shillings and six pence. The overhaul is therefore unneccessary, but he still wants a detailed list of the contents to be kept with the instrument.

He declines their suggestion that an additional eye piece be purchased, on the grounds that the microscope is used so rarely that such an expense would not be justified.

Harrison asks that they amend the enclosed account, for which he will draw a cheque, and return it with microscope and requested list. He adds that it also requires proper fitting in the box as the lid will not shut without force at the moment.
