TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Gilbert Thomas Walker, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 October 1907
DescriptionHarrison has been directed to reply, explaining that due to the significant increase in expenditure on the Royal Society's publications resulting in a deficit in that account, the Society cannot extend their presentation list. The Council has, however, authorised the sale of sets, of at least ten years, of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society up to 1900, at a third of the published price, and from 1900 onwards at the current price minus 15 percent.

He therefore sends Walker a set of Philosophical Transactions, Series A, from 1880 to the most recent published volume, with an account made out in the terms outlined. Harrison also highlights the subscription terms for Proceedings of the Royal Society, as announced inside that publication's cover, and he presumes Walker's department will wish to subscribe on these terms.
