TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Alfred Bray Kempe, [Treasurer, Royal Society]
Date1 November 1907
DescriptionGeikie forwards a letter from Minchin in which he refers to a grant made to him for the completion of the Sleeping Sickness investigation. He dislikes grants being used for purposes other than those for which the money was voted, noting in this case it appears to be for a subsidy to Edwin Ray Lankester's Journal and a donation to Minchin to aid the circulation of copies of his paper.

Minchin addresses his letter to the Tropical Disease Committee, but they have no jurisdiction in the matter of grants made by Council. Geikie asks if Kempe can deal directly with it or if it needs to be submitted to Council. If he can deal with it directly, he enquires as to what he will do regarding allowing him to keep the money or not. He lists his availability.
