DescriptionHarrison highlights the need for the Institute of Mechanical Engineers to nominate a member to serve on the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory until December 1912, and asks that their Council nominate a member before 5 December. W H Maw, one of their present representatives, will retire next December as an ordinary member, but as he serves on the Executive Committee until December 1909 he will, under Clause 4 of the scheme of organisation, become an "additional" member during that time.
