DescriptionHarrison explains that Dr Gamgee's application for £100 towards his research 'On the continuous automatic registration of the changes in the temperature of the animal body in health and disease' was considered at the last meeting of the Council of the Royal Society, at which they resolved to refer it to the Sectional Committee for Physiology for report. He explains that the Council meet again on 5 December, and asks that the Physiology Committee give their opinion prior to that date, and asks if the application should be circulated amongst the committee members or if a meeting should be called.
