TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr Wilson
Date10 December 1907
DescriptionGeikie communicates the request of the lithographers, that if Wilson can supply the lettering of the Aurora illustration plates they could submit finished proofs and save the second revise for lettering only. He reminds Wilson that they are to print 750 copies for insertion in the volume of the Antarctic Report, and a further 750 for Wilson's volume of photographs and sketches.

He asks if Wilson has a title for the head of his plates, and suggests 'National Antarctic Expedtion 1901-04'. They will need to number the plates so that they are bound in the proper order and may easily be referred to. If Wilson has a list of the plates for his volume, Harrison asks that he sends it in so that he may make a copy of it and return it. He proposes that the Aurora plates be kept by themselves at the end of the photographs, but asks for Wilson's opinion. Harrison also enquires as to the present state of work for his volume, and asks that when he arranges the proofs of the letterpress, that he engage Oliver & Boys to send duplicates of the proofs to him at the Royal Society.
