| Description | Copies of the referee's reports on Dr Beevor's paper 'On the Distribution of the different Arteries supplying the Human Brain' are enclosed [not enclosed]. Asks if in view of these Martin agrees to publication in the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' under Standing Order 43, and queries whether the remarks of the first referee should be communicated to the author for consideration.
Dr Buckmaster has called at the Royal Society with further reference to the illustrations to his and J A Gardner's papers. Both Buckmaster and Gardner are anxious that the three tracings to their second paper, and a selection of the tracings to their first paper, should be reproduced to show exactly the nature of the results obtained. In order to secure this they are willing to pay the cost of reproduction. The Physiology Sectional Committee recommended the papers for publication in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' subject to the authors being asked to reduce the number of illustrations in accordance with the suggestion of the second referee. Asks if Buckmaster's offer should be accepted. |
