| Description | Harrison has seen Glazebrook's letter to Dr Joseph Larmor of 18 December, received 20 December, but cannot immediately tell if it has been answered or not. He therefore has forwarded it to Larmor, but in the meantime states that Mr Smith's paper "Cadium Cell" which he presumes is referred to, should be printed in around 10 days, but they could have advance proofs stitched up without cover sooner than that if required. The other papers for which Smith is a joint author, namely "Voltameter" and the Ayrton, Mather and Smith ['A New Current Weigher and a Determination of the Electromotive Force of the Normal Weston Cadmium Cell' by W E Ayrton, T Mather, F E Smith] paper, are well advanced but are likely to be out later than the 'Cadium Cell' paper due to their greater length.
He firmly asserts that the question has not been left, and in fact the printing of these papers has been advanced as quickly as they could get the printers to work. |
