DescriptionHarrison has looked up the certificate of candidature of Major General Hardwicke and find that he is there described as "Lieut. Colonel Harkwicke of the Honourable East India Company's Service, Fellow of the Linnean Society and member of the Asiatic Society of Wisbech in the country of Cambridge". This certificate is dated 1813, but in a subsequent list of Fellows printed in 1830 he is described as Major General Thomas Hardwicke, of the Lodge, South Lambeth. Harrison regrets he can give no further information.
