TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to John Frederick Halls Dally
Date10 January 1908
DescriptionJohn Frederick Halls Dally's paper entitled "A Contribution to the Study of the Mechanism of Respiration, with especial reference to the Action of the Vertebral Colum and Diaphragm" has been under consideration, is regarded as an interesting piece of work, but is thought to be rather long for publication in the Proceedings of the Royal Society. It is thought the paper would more appropriately appear in a journal especially devoted to physiological and anatomical subjects. Enquires whether he is willing to agree to the suggestion that a short abstract be published in the Proceedings and the full paper be withdrawn with a view to publication elsewhere.
