The above paper has now be revised in accordance with recommendations of the Zoology Committee. The author was asked to limit his paper to no more than 3 pages. Will the Chairman please say whether he is of opinion that the revised paper should be accepted for publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. The revised manuscript is enclosed along with a letter from Mr Bateson upon who the recommendations were based.
