Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor W M Bayliss, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 4 March 1908 |
Description | Harrison has no voice personally in settling the list of papers for reading, that is done entirely by the two principal secretaries, he can however give Bayliss some facts about his paper. The paper is unusually long for the Proceedings[of the Royal Society], neither Chairman of the Committee nor the secretaries would take responsibility of accepting it without reference. It was accordingly referred and the report came in too late for the paper to be included in the meeting of 27 February, therefore it was put down as a probably paper for 12 March, a week tomorrow. That is the whole history of the paper and Harrison does not see how such delays could have been avoided. |
